The basic tools used for mobile phone repair are, a good set of fine tipped tweezers, a spudger, an opening tool, a suction cup and a good set of fine tipped screwdrivers. These are the tools one will need for iPhones however when you are looking at most every other phone, a heat source is necessary.
If you go online many videos will have you believe that a hair dryer is all that’s necessary for the job. I strongly disagree, you need a heat gun do the repair properly. A hair dryer simply does not have enough heat to allow the adhesive to give up its grip. If you are planning on attempting a repair on your own, investing in these tools will give you the best chance of a successful repair.
